An unexpectedly hard shot by Diederick Meulders in the 12th minute of play forced MARINUS MZC's goalkeeper Kléberson Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience cheered loudly when Xander Steurms's long shot in the 24th minute became 4-0 when the ball went to the left of and passed Kléberson Ferreira. Kléberson Ferreira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 31st minute, which inside left pole to 5-0. When Luiz Guilherme Arantes fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MARINUS MZC's protests and gave Luiz Guilherme Arantes a yellow card for diving instead. 38 minutes into the match, Steven De Kelper had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kléberson Ferreira. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gino Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kléberson Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias-Alexander Pellegrims in the 61st minute of the match. After some careless play in the MARINUS MZC defense, Xander Steurms kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kléberson Ferreira. The MARINUS MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kléberson Ferreira should have stopped the shot. Kléberson Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diederick Meulders in the 68th minute of the match. MARINUS MZC's Kléberson Ferreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diederick Meulders in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in MARINUS MZC's zone, Diederick Meulders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kléberson Ferreira came out of the goal and Diederick Meulders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute Steven De Kelper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléberson Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kléberson Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias-Alexander Pellegrims in the 76th minute of play. When Xander Steurms fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bacardi FC's protests and gave Xander Steurms a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th minute, Xander Steurms hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bacardi FC's Andrew Van Baerlem was substituted for Xander Steurms. The supporters of MARINUS MZC booed when Bacardi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position.
