The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Real Armal F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eder Mangas to maneuver through the defense. Arend Van Beneden made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Raúl Gasso sent off a good shot on target. If Steven De Kelper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siro Casillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven De Kelper in the 20th minute of the match. Siro Casillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diederick Meulders in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Real Armal F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eder Mangas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Steven De Kelper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacardi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven De Kelper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Siro Casillas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Siro Casillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven De Kelper in the 28th minute of play. Diederick Meulders scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Siro Casillas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the game, Bacardi FC's Steven De Kelper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Siro Casillas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Diederick Meulders scored 0-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Siro Casillas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Real Armal F.C. booed when Bacardi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven De Kelper didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Steven De Kelper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Diederick Meulders made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd play minute Diederick Meulders came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Siro Casillas. 0-4. Steven De Kelper took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Siro Casillas. Siro Casillas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 62nd match minute, Real Armal F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Gasso to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Real Armal F.C.'s goalkeeper Siro Casillas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven De Kelper. In the 65th match minute, Bacardi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diederick Meulders to maneuver through the defense. Bacardi FC's Lou Haesevoets got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lou Haesevoets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xander Steurms sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lou Haesevoets recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andrew Van Baerlem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Siro Casillas made a huge save. A well done corner resulted in Birger Verhoeven drilling the ball in to score 0-7 behind Real Armal F.C.'s goalkeeper. Andrew Van Baerlem might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siro Casillas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrew Van Baerlem ran back to his position shaking his head. Siro Casillas was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Diederick Meulders capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diederick Meulders really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diederick Meulders during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match was over Bacardi FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Armal F.C. throughout the match.
