João de Souza started the match with the kick off. In the 8th match minute, Vila Industrial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Vides to maneuver through the defense. João Paulo Zonta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caco da Rocha's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. If Caco da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Paulo Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Falcão Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes Excelência de Luxe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luan Neto who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Vila Industrial FC's Luan Neto to fire away a dangerous shot which João Paulo Zonta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 22nd minute, João de Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Amauri de Godoi. The goal made the score 1-0. Luan Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Marco Tróia fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Excelência de Luxe's protests and gave Marco Tróia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Vila Industrial FC booed when Excelência de Luxe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Excelência de Luxe's Juan Mangueira got a free kick in the 34th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Abel Garcia notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Excelência de Luxe's João Paulo Zonta. João Paulo Zonta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Falcão Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Vila Industrial FC's goal looked a bit too open when João de Souza came free, but Amauri de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adelino Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Reinaldo Abraão came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Paulo Zonta could save by the left post. In the 65th minute, Vila Industrial FC's Reinaldo Abraão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Paulo Zonta. João Paulo Zonta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. When Reinaldo Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Vila Industrial FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Abraão couldn't finish the play. When Excelência de Luxe's Wilson de Godoi in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
