Excelência de Luxe's João Paulo Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Firmani in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Excelência de Luxe's Claudinho Travassos got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gonzo Style f.c's goalkeeper Federico Marsilio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Gonzo Style f.c were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Eliseu França made the kick off in the second half. Federico Marsilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 played minutes Excelência de Luxe got a freekick which was hit by Juan Mangueira. When Amedeo Signoretti fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gonzo Style f.c's protests and gave Amedeo Signoretti a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Gonzo Style f.c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Signoretti to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Excelência de Luxe's Wilson de Godoi tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
