Spectators: 7476 (Terracing: 5608, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Béla Antal took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 3 played minutes Andrashida got a freekick which was hit by János Lengyel. Krisztián Pál showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ottó Gyarmati in the 12th minute of the match. The supporters of Andrashida booed when Gyál United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Kerékgyártó didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute Béla Antal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sándor Jászberényi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Béla Gerencsér came free, but Sándor Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrashida's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Béla Antal in the 23rd minute. Béla Antal made a great header on Andrashida's corner, it was just that Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi managed to reach the ball for a save. Tibor Kerékgyártó was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th match minute, Gyál United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Kerékgyártó to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Imre Bányay. Sándor Jászberényi was a little too slow when Béla Antal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-1. Béla Antal struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Sándor Jászberényi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Andrashida. László Medgyesi kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ottó Gyarmati to make the kick off. Ferenc Boros hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. József Fekete took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sándor Jászberényi. Gyál United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sándor Jászberényi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Béla Antal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Béla Gerencsér during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Andrashida's Béla Gerencsér got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Andrashida defense, László Medgyesi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krisztián Pál. The Andrashida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krisztián Pál should have stopped the shot. Andrashida's Béla Gerencsér got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Andrashida got a freekick which was hit by Ábel Baló. Krisztián Pál made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ottó Gyarmati in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Béla Antal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sándor Jászberényi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The audience was convinced that Béla Antal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sándor Jászberényi was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Ferenc Boros got a free kick in the 85th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Tamás Kossuth recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Krisztián Pál. Tamás Kossuth showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. The Gyál United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
