Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelmer Deitmers in the 3rd minute of play. Roland Deinse kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Franck Oosterhof came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Imperio Académico's Orlando Castulo. But to his dismay, Orlando Castulo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. AVV Zeeburgia's Franck Oosterhof played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Quirce in the 21st minute of play. After some careless play in the AVV Zeeburgia defense, Orlando Castulo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franck Oosterhof. The AVV Zeeburgia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franck Oosterhof should have stopped the shot. Pieter-Jan Hulshof's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Gogo Gimenez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pieter-Jan Hulshof could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Gogo Gimenez made a huge save. When Osvaldo Dodorol fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imperio Académico's protests and gave Osvaldo Dodorol a yellow card for diving instead. Osvaldo Dodorol hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Aureliano Quirce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franck Oosterhof. AVV Zeeburgia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aureliano Quirce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Bonifacio Osasun hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes of play, AVV Zeeburgia's Jelmer Deitmers made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gogo Gimenez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Imperio Académico from getting a goal against them. Orlando Castulo took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franck Oosterhof. Franck Oosterhof dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. After the first half Imperio Académico were leading 1-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Imperio Académico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AVV Zeeburgia:s goal. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for AVV Zeeburgia. Marco Sleiffer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gogo Gimenez. 2-5. If Aureliano Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franck Oosterhof showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Ondino in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, AVV Zeeburgia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Sleiffer to maneuver through the defense. Roel Saarberg hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Aureliano Quirce shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franck Oosterhof showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Imperio Académico's Gogo Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pieter-Jan Hulshof in the 88th minute of play. Orlando Castulo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Franck Oosterhof tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
