Spectators: 7463 (Terracing: 5598, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Thomas Lockett kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's Thomas Lockett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nilson Dracena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7th match minute, Vancouver Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Roach to maneuver through the defense. Blake Vogt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Thomas Lockett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vancouver Reds's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Lockett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Dracena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the SE Palmeiras defense, Maynard Pike kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilson Dracena. The SE Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilson Dracena should have stopped the shot. Nilson Dracena came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Vancouver Reds's Marshall Valenzuela. But to his dismay, Marshall Valenzuela quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jano do Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jano do Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jano do Vale hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Marshall Valenzuela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Vancouver Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Cerezo came free, but Blake Vogt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Enrique Malone sped through SE Palmeiras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nilson Dracena. Nilson Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Valenzuela in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Ian Cerezo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Vancouver Reds's Blake Vogt. Blake Vogt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Cerezo got free with Blake Vogt in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Malone in the 53rd minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Nilson Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena got control of the ball when Thomas Lockett tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nilson Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Lockett in the 65th minute of the match. Thomas Lockett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Nilson Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SE Palmeiras's Nilson Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Lockett came free, but Nilson Dracena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Fernando Aparecido's late challenge caught a Vancouver Reds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Fernando Aparecido helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Carlos Fernando Aparecido got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Nilson Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marshall Valenzuela in the 74th minute. After some careless play in the Vancouver Reds defense, Ian Cerezo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blake Vogt. The Vancouver Reds fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blake Vogt should have stopped the shot. When Thomas Lockett came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Vancouver Reds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Lockett couldn't finish the play. Vancouver Reds's Blake Vogt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio do Valle in the 82nd minute of play. Nilson Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maynard Pike in the 90th minute of the match.
