The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arne Emander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Frances Grossman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arne Emander. Bajen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frances Grossman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12th match minute, Bajen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fritz Henriksson to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute Maynard Pike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Emander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frances Grossman in the 18th minute of play forced Bajen's goalkeeper Arne Emander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Maynard Pike got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fritz Henriksson during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Allan Ström ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 37th match minute, Vancouver Reds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Travis Oakley to maneuver through the defense. Anders Överman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blake Vogt having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Allan Ström got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Överman in the 42nd minute of play forced Vancouver Reds's goalkeeper Blake Vogt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Allan Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Blake Vogt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bajen's Arne Emander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frances Grossman in the 48th minute of play. The Bajen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vancouver Reds were winning 0-2.
Arne Emander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frances Grossman in the 52nd minute. Arne Emander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frances Grossman in the 54th minute of the match. After 59 minutes Vancouver Reds's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Bajen's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Aldo Quick 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. In the 89th minute, Bengt-Rune Tolsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Vancouver Reds could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bajen throughout the match.
