Ulises Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Augusto Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio do Valle came free, but Ulises Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When SE Palmeiras's Ian Cerezo in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club A. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Cerezo in the 29th minute of play forced Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goalkeeper Ulises Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulises Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ian Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club A. Chipa y Tereré fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! In the 41st minute Olari Mõniste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olari Mõniste in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilson Dracena saved SE Palmeiras from getting behind. After the first half SE Palmeiras were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emmanuel Campuzano to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Olari Mõniste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club A. Chipa y Tereré were furious when Felix Lore was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Felix Lore kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ian Cerezo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SE Palmeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Cerezo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Sidro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Zé Augusto Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Cerezo in the 70th minute of play forced Club A. Chipa y Tereré's goalkeeper Ulises Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ian Cerezo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ulises Sidro. That made the score 1-3 in the 74 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Basílio do Valle got free with Ulises Sidro in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Décio Peixoto charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Décio Peixoto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Décio Peixoto. After 86 minutes of play Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Baldomero Seber was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. SE Palmeiras's Mateus Pitta was substituted for Carlos Fernando Aparecido. After a rather tough play, Club A. Chipa y Tereré's Baldomero Seber got a free kick in the 87th minute. Ian Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SE Palmeiras booed when Club A. Chipa y Tereré was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Campuzano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Club A. Chipa y Tereré fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SE Palmeiras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
