The referee ignored Vancouver Reds's protests and gave Frank Guinn a yellow card for diving instead. Frank Guinn hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Frances Grossman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Konrad Filipkowski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Frances Grossman kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 10thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Chotów SSA's keeper Konrad Filipkowski was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Blake Vogt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ksawery Robak in the 12th minute of play. When Vancouver Reds's Frances Grossman in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chotów SSA's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Frances Grossman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konrad Filipkowski was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Chotów SSA's goalkeeper Konrad Filipkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frances Grossman. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frances Grossman to make the kick off. The tension between the Vancouver Reds and the Chotów SSA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Frances Grossman hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Marshall Valenzuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Konrad Filipkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Vancouver Reds fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Konrad Filipkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marshall Valenzuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerrold Villeneuve in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Konrad Filipkowski saved Chotów SSA from getting behind. Dariusz Pochorylo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Blake Vogt made a huge save. 95 minutes into the match, Chotów SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Frances Grossman came free, but Konrad Filipkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chotów SSA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vancouver Reds.
