Sidney Queirós made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Melquiades Selmo sent off a good shot on target. Gervasio Dei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nelson Pires's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Dráuzio Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gervasio Dei was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Pires in the 14th minute of play forced Chanchos's goalkeeper Gervasio Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Dei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Vianna in the 18th minute of the match. Gervasio Dei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Pires in the 19th minute of play. Sidney Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dionisio Ponc in the 21st minute of play. Gervasio Dei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Gildo Dracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gervasio Dei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gervasio Dei came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Miau Stars's Gildo Dracena. But to his dismay, Gildo Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Gervasio Dei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gildo Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gervasio Dei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelson Pires went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Gervasio Dei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Pires in the 41st minute of play. Antônio Miranda lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Chanchos's Rolando Raymond got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 59th match minute, Miau Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Andrade to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Gildo Dracena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gervasio Dei was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Chanchos's Gervasio Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Vianna in the 68th minute of play. Gildo Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Dei having to interfere. Gildo Dracena came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gervasio Dei could save by the left post. In the 73rd minute, Miau Stars's Dráuzio Barbosa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. 76 minutes into the game, Gildo Dracena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Gervasio Dei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chanchos's Gervasio Dei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Chanchos from getting a goal against them. Nelson Pires hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Gildo Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miau Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Gildo Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gervasio Dei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicanor Nabar scored 1-7 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sidney Queirós, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Orlando Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Gervasio Dei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miau Stars's Sidney Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Nabar in the 92nd minute of play. Sidney Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Ponc in the 93rd minute of the match. 97 minutes into the game, Abel Ursino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chanchos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miau Stars the free kick. Abel Ursino hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Valdir Lopez from long distance, 98 minutes into the match, got Gervasio Dei's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The Miau Stars supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Miau Stars would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
