Moises Cordarell charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Cordarell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, Deportivo Mukenio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Cordarell to maneuver through the defense. Nunez Sanchez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Horácio Ceresso. 19 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mukenio's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Madureira came free, but Nunez Sanchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Villa Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Bieito came free, but Igor Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Flavio Crescencio came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Deportivo Mukenio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Crescencio couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristo Bermudo during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot by Horácio Ceresso from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Nunez Sanchez's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 38thth minute of the game Antônio Carlos Madureira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Mukenio's Nunez Sanchez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximiliano Todor hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 42ndth minute of the game Afonso Baiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Mukenio's Nunez Sanchez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Villa Verde FC's Arí Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Deportivo Mukenio getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cristo Bermudo hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afonso Baiano to strike the kick off in the second half. If Luís Fernando Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Afonso Baiano put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nunez Sanchez. Igor Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Bieito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Todor, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Nunez Sanchez came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Verde FC's Afonso Baiano. But to his dismay, Afonso Baiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Afonso Baiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nunez Sanchez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Baiano in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nunez Sanchez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Fernando Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Deportivo Mukenio got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Eguzki. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Mukenio's zone, Horácio Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nunez Sanchez came out of the goal and Horácio Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute, Maximiliano Todor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 87 played minutes, Villa Verde FC's Horácio Ceresso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nunez Sanchez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Villa Verde FC reached it. In the 93rd minute Joel Ramos suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 94th match minute, Deportivo Mukenio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desiderio Bieito to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Villa Verde FC had won after a very even match.
