In the 19th minute Felipe Salvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmacio Caldueño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Guiñazú FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Carlomagno to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Salvino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Dalmacio Caldueño made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Bocaran in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Gabino saved Guiñazú FC from getting behind. Club Olimpia's Dalmacio Caldueño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Salvino in the 31st minute of play. Gilberto Gabino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Bocaran in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Cebo Morejon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Gabino. Guiñazú FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cebo Morejon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 48 minutes into the match, Guiñazú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cebo Morejon came free, but Gilberto Gabino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Guiñazú FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Olimpia were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cebo Morejon to make the kick off. Gilberto Gabino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Bocaran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute of the match, Cordarrol Tama tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilberto Gabino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 62nd match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toli Buron to maneuver through the defense. Cordarrol Tama charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cordarrol Tama the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Club Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Cordarrol Tama. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Uhin in the 66th minute of play forced Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Dalmacio Caldueño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Guiñazú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romano Piega came free, but Gilberto Gabino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guiñazú FC's Gilberto Gabino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordarrol Tama in the 75th minute of play. Gilberto Gabino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Bocaran in the 76th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romano Piega got free with Gilberto Gabino in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Cebo Morejon took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Gilberto Gabino to make any attempt to save it. When Toli Buron fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Olimpia's protests and gave Toli Buron a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Olimpia getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Toli Buron hit a great ball. Adrian Oier hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Haroldo Bocaran's late challenge caught a Guiñazú FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Haroldo Bocaran helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Bocaran to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match, Cordarrol Tama tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilberto Gabino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cebo Morejon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gilberto Gabino made a huge save. The Guiñazú FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Olimpia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
