João Carlos Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Gipuzkoa having to interfere. With a little luck, Atlético Montserrat's Everardo Gipuzkoa got control of the ball when Hortêncio Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Linhares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Everardo Gipuzkoa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Montserrat's zone, Mandi Oca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Gipuzkoa came out of the goal and Mandi Oca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hortêncio Linhares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Everardo Gipuzkoa came out and tried to block the shot, but Hortêncio Linhares slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renato Xavier got free with Everardo Gipuzkoa in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the match, Renato Xavier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Everardo Gipuzkoa, 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Carlos Teixeira got free with Everardo Gipuzkoa in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Hortêncio Linhares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Everardo Gipuzkoa. That made the score 5-0 in the 31 minute of play. Hortêncio Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hortêncio Linhares to strike the kick off in the second half. Everardo Gipuzkoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Mandi Oca made a precise shot to the right of Everardo Gipuzkoa. Atlético Montserrat's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. After some careless play in the Atlético Montserrat defense, Hortêncio Linhares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Gipuzkoa. The Atlético Montserrat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Gipuzkoa should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the game, INTER FC's João Carlos Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Everardo Gipuzkoa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Everardo Gipuzkoa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Carlos Teixeira went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 11-0 was the resulting score. If Mandi Oca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everardo Gipuzkoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mandi Oca in the 73rd minute of play. Everardo Gipuzkoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Teixeira in the 77th minute of the match. João Carlos Teixeira scored 13-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Everardo Gipuzkoa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Everardo Gipuzkoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mandi Oca, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Atlético Montserrat defense, Mandi Oca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Gipuzkoa. The Atlético Montserrat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Gipuzkoa should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the INTER FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
