After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Hortêncio Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teun Gierman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hortêncio Linhares sped through Nadzieja Speed Elblag's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teun Gierman. In the 14th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Valverde to maneuver through the defense. After 18 minutes, Hortêncio Linhares made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Nadzieja Speed Elblag's Teun Gierman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Mandi Oca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, INTER FC's Mandi Oca got a free kick in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Mandi Oca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teun Gierman. Nadzieja Speed Elblag's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mandi Oca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pim van Gaal made the kick off in the second half. Hortêncio Linharess short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Teun Gierman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Teun Gierman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Linhares in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Hortêncio Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTER FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teun Gierman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hortêncio Linhares in the 61st minute. Teun Gierman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Linhares in the 95th minute of play. INTER FC played a much better game than Nadzieja Speed Elblag and deserved their victory. The Nadzieja Speed Elblag players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
