After having played for 23 minutes, Heli Hontoria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CERRO PORTEÑO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heli Hontoria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CERRO PORTEÑO's Giraldo Laiseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelino Galindo in the 28th minute of play. In the 28th minute Angelino Galindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giraldo Laiseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Platense's Cecilio Garci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén-Darío Delgado in the 34th minute of play.
