An unexpectedly hard shot by Celestino Alfaro in the 3rd minute of play forced Valadas's goalkeeper Fernanco Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Valadas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Berenguer Costilla was slow to take the kick. During this time CERRO PORTEÑO's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Berenguer Costilla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Valadas's Fernanco Muslera did a great save. Giraldo Laiseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilson Castelo Branco in the 7th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorato Lameiras in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giraldo Laiseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilson Castelo Branco hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Dimas Bravo hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Celestino Alfaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Fernanco Muslera made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Alfaro got free with Fernanco Muslera in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giraldo Laiseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Castelo Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Jorge Vilalobos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Giraldo Laiseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wilson Castelo Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute of the game Lorencio Gobantes made a throw-in which Guillelme Andujar played forward. After 41 minutes, Urti Rancaño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CERRO PORTEÑO and the Valadas players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorato Lameiras in the 45th minute of play forced CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Giraldo Laiseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Valadas's Fernanco Muslera got control of the ball when Urti Rancaño tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Valadas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tadeu Moyua made a kick off. Honorato Lameiras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giraldo Laiseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute Valadas were awarded a corner. Jorge Vilalobos went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 59th minute of the match Lorencio Gobantes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernanco Muslera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fernanco Muslera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urti Rancaño in the 61st minute of the match. After some careless play in the CERRO PORTEÑO defense, Wilson Castelo Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giraldo Laiseca. The CERRO PORTEÑO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giraldo Laiseca should have stopped the shot. CERRO PORTEÑO's Giraldo Laiseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimas Bravo in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Celestino Alfaro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernanco Muslera. Valadas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celestino Alfaro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 73 minutes of play, Valadas's Wilson Castelo Branco made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giraldo Laiseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! 79 minutes into the match, Honorato Lameiras dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giraldo Laiseca, 1-4. A collision led to Valadas getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Iustin Piţurcă hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Wilson Castelo Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giraldo Laiseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iban Amada hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Valadas's Jorge Vilalobos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Giraldo Laiseca but with some difficulty. A collision led to CERRO PORTEÑO getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Berenguer Costilla hit a great ball. In the 97th match minute, CERRO PORTEÑO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berenguer Costilla to maneuver through the defense. The CERRO PORTEÑO supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Valadas's performance. The match ended with a win for Valadas.
