Pedrinho de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Meijers, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. When Edwin Jennes fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VC zoetwater's protests and gave Edwin Jennes a yellow card for diving instead. Alfa FC's Joélson Rodrigues was substituted for Nicolas Ferreira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício de Lara in the 16th minute of play forced VC zoetwater's goalkeeper Stan Hagemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Alfa FC's Maurício de Lara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stan Hagemans. Stan Hagemans yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Stan Hagemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício de Lara in the 38th minute of the match. Edwin Jennes got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 40th match minute, VC zoetwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Jennes to maneuver through the defense. Maurício de Lara succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurício de Lara made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Alfa FC's Maurício de Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stan Hagemans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maurício de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Stan Hagemans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício de Lara's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. VC zoetwater's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Camargo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After some careless play in the VC zoetwater defense, Maurício de Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stan Hagemans. The VC zoetwater fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stan Hagemans should have stopped the shot. VC zoetwater's Stan Hagemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício de Lara in the 71st minute of play. The Alfa FC fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Alfa FC's Maurício de Lara looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 93 played minutes Alfa FC got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Viana. Alfa FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
