In the 10th match minute, New Loser FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carlos Mattos to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, New Loser FC's Stan Hagemans threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gildo Corrêa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Stan Hagemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gildo Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 16 minutes, Jeoffrey Wiggers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VC zoetwater and the New Loser FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eliseu Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Meijers in the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, VC zoetwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarne Van Kelf to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, João Carlos Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Loser FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Carlos Mattos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stan Hagemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rd minute, Ricky Meijers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Pedro Goiano's late challenge caught a VC zoetwater's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Carlos Mattos in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stan Hagemans saved VC zoetwater from getting behind. In the 53rdth minute of the game João Carlos Mattos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VC zoetwater's Stan Hagemans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gildo Corrêa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stan Hagemans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of VC zoetwater booed when New Loser FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
