The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarbas Pombal got free with Folmar Dandanell in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Folmar Dandanell was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Erivaldo Esteves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erivaldo Esteves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Hønning's Folmar Dandanell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Esteves in the 9th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Erivaldo Esteves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Folmar Dandanell. That made the score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. Ed Mundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Folmar Dandanell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ed Mundo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd match minute, Reko-Recko 03™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erivaldo Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Gerdt Linulf charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerdt Linulf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hønning's Gerdt Linulf got a free kick in the 27th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Folmar Dandanell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarbas Pombal to make the kick off. If Philip Grunø had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Ricard Armann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarbas Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folmar Dandanell having to interfere. Hønning's Folmar Dandanell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Augusto Moura in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Donatello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eberhardt Næsager. In the 63rd minute, Hønning's Eberhardt Næsager ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Eduardo Donatello. Carlos Eduardo Donatello yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After having played for 67 minutes, Jarbas Pombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reko-Recko 03™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarbas Pombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Eliézer Cerezo made a precise shot to the right of Folmar Dandanell. Hønning's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Carlos Eduardo Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Grunø in the 72nd minute of play. When Philip Grunø came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Hønning fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Grunø couldn't finish the play. Ricard Armann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Carlos Eduardo Donatello made a huge save. The supporters of Reko-Recko 03™ booed when Hønning was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thorfinn Felvig didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Harry Bøndorff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Ed Mundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reko-Recko 03™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ed Mundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Zé Augusto Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folmar Dandanell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ed Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folmar Dandanell having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorfinn Felvig to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Hønning players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Reko-Recko 03™.
