In the 7th minute PERSPOLIS were awarded a corner. Arash Lara went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led PERSPOLIS's Arash Lara to fire away a dangerous shot which 汪兴宽 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wool United's 汪兴宽 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curcio Amer in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Wool United's zone, Xuaco Otero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 汪兴宽 came out of the goal and Xuaco Otero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenon Valerón in the 13th minute of play forced Wool United's goalkeeper 汪兴宽 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Zenon Valerón lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated 汪兴宽. After 22 played minutes Wool United got a freekick which was hit by 邓亮平. After 24 played minutes Wool United got a freekick which was hit by 邓亮平. Virgilio Marcilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 姚傲剑 went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. PERSPOLIS's Virgilio Marcilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 汪霆谦 in the 29th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Wool United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PERSPOLIS:s goal. Virgilio Marcilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 姚傲剑, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Wool United were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after PERSPOLIS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 姚傲剑 took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 邓瑜平 in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Marcilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Curcio Amer made a kick off. Arash Lara hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 林剑铮 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Marcilla having to interfere. When 邓亮平 was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 54 minutes had been played. After a defensive mix-up in Wool United's zone, Arash Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 汪兴宽 came out of the goal and Arash Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, Wool United's goal looked a bit too open when Zenon Valerón came free, but 汪兴宽 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 汪兴宽 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Curcio Amer in the 68th minute of play. Curcio Torres's late challenge caught a Wool United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Curcio Torres helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, PERSPOLIS's Curcio Torres got a free kick in the 70th minute. 姚傲剑 struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Virgilio Marcilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wool United. PERSPOLIS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when 郭宁正 scored to the left of an out of position Virgilio Marcilla, making the score, 2-3. 94 minutes into the match, Curcio Amer notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Wool United's 汪兴宽. 汪兴宽 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
