Mitnarotov FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Eduardo Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juarês de Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Paranaense came free, but Juarês de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Leal might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juarês de Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simão Leal ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Luz in the 10th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Juarês de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mitnarotov FC fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Mitnarotov FC's Fred Luz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th minute of the match Mitnarotov FC got a corner. Marquês de Herval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gualter Baiano ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 28th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Romero to maneuver through the defense. Reginaldo Furlan hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Marcus Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frédson Carneiro hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simão Leal made a kick off. After some careless play in the Mitnarotov FC defense, Marcus Simões kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matías Lima. The Mitnarotov FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matías Lima should have stopped the shot. Simão Leal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Juarês de Amaral firmly grabbed it by the left post. Juarês de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Luz in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, João Francisco Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper Matías Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Fred Luz fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mitnarotov FC's protests and gave Fred Luz a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Dráusio Couto. Juarês de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualter Baiano's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Juarês de Amaral - 2-3 was put on the score board in the 71st minute. Eliseu Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Simão Leal came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Juarês de Amaral could save by the left post. In the 78th minute, Marcus Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mitnarotov FC's Diamantino Lago suffered a sore thigh after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Giovani Fernandes charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giovani Fernandes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Fernandes. Bruno Bastos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Matías Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matías Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giovani Fernandes in the 84th minute of play. Matías Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Simões in the 85th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Francisco Fernandes during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
