The referee ignored Key Biscayne FC's protests and gave Colin Kohler a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Colin Kohler hit a great ball. Key Biscayne FC's Brice Carey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Key Biscayne FC from getting a goal against them. Brice Carey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Napoleon Kapinos in the 6th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Key Biscayne FC got a freekick which was hit by Colin Kohler. After 21 minutes of play, Key Biscayne FC's Roderick Higgins made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Miecznikowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute Roderick Higgins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Miecznikowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacco Bednarek kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Brice Carey. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. In the 37th minute, Roderick Higgins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacco Bednarek in the 40th minute of play forced Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Brice Carey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Key Biscayne FC's Brice Carey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacco Bednarek in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Jerzy Duszenski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Napoleon Kapinos was the one to do the kick off. Napoleon Kapinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FA Sandtown booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quinton Hood didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 played minutes FA Sandtown got a freekick which was hit by Jacco Bednarek. Arturo Fuentes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 63rd minute Florian Huratiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brice Carey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brice Carey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacco Bednarek in the 67th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Key Biscayne FC's Colin Kohler got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Florian Huratiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FA Sandtown getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jacco Bednarek hit a great ball. Brice Carey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Napoleon Kapinos in the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Key Biscayne FC's Quinton Hood got a free kick in the 85th minute. Brice Carey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Napoleon Kapinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brice Carey came out of the goal and Lucjan Topolski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Key Biscayne FC to win.
