Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Mendes in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jannich Brolyng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, Thorbjørn Farler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Thorbjørn Engsholm took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Nilton Berger to make any attempt to save it. 45 minutes into the match, Saco FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Mendes came free, but Jannich Brolyng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Mendes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Saco FC's Arnold Binau got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute Kauã Cordeiro managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal.
