Arne Ambjörnsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 40 minutes of play Surahammar's Mattias Drewitz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Mattias Drewitz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Bengi Price showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicklas Hjortberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicklas Hjortberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Surahammar's Per Rudberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. If Nicklas Hjortberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Surahammar defense, Andi Johnson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Ambjörnsson. The Surahammar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Ambjörnsson should have stopped the shot. Arne Ambjörnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andi Johnson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per Rudberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Surahammar's Arne Ambjörnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andi Johnson in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andi Johnson in the 72nd minute of play forced Surahammar's goalkeeper Arne Ambjörnsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s zone, Nicklas Hjortberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengi Price came out of the goal and Nicklas Hjortberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute of the match Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖ got a corner. Surahammar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Masao Koriotto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Masao Koriotto made a great header on Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s corner, it was just that Surahammar's Arne Ambjörnsson managed to reach the ball for a save. Deportivo G⦕⩙⦖'s Andi Johnson got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute Nicklas Hjortberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengi Price saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
