When Leo Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Pincha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Ramos couldn't finish the play. Dito Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Cirilo Francesco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rômulo Camargo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Edgardo Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barra EC's Rômulo Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Godoy in the 10th minute of play. Cirilo Francesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaias James in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rômulo Camargo saved Barra EC from getting behind. Rômulo Camargo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias James went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Pedro Luiz Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ladislao Inocente fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pincha FC's protests and gave Ladislao Inocente a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Pincha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Inocente to maneuver through the defense. Pincha FC's Ladislao Inocente got his second yellow card of the match in the 33rd minute. The referee ordered Ladislao Inocente off the ground. Pincha FC:s Gervasio Bortzaioriz showed great skill when he stopped Manuel Loyola:s penalty. After some careless play in the Barra EC defense, Agustin Cordarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rômulo Camargo. The Barra EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rômulo Camargo should have stopped the shot. Pincha FC's Isaias James got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias James in the 47th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Rômulo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Isaias James made the kick off in the second half. Agustin Cordarin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Camargo having to interfere. Edgardo Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Rômulo Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaias James's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Rômulo Camargo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 63rd minute Isaias James shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Pedro Luiz Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the game, Pincha FC's Isaias James nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rômulo Camargo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Gervasio Bortzaioriz came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Barra EC's Pedro Luiz Souto. But to his dismay, Pedro Luiz Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Isaias James did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-4 to the left of a surprised Rômulo Camargo 83 minutes into the match. Isaias James who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Rômulo Camargo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gervasio Bortzaioriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Isaias Jamess short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Rômulo Camargo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
