Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Ivan Johansson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Barra EC's Ricardo Santos got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Douglas Wiman came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the FC Snipers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Wiman couldn't finish the play. Rômulo Camargo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivan Johansson's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. In the 7th match minute, Barra EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Santos to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, FC Snipers's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís de Amaral came free, but Olov Groth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Groth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Olov Groth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Souto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Ivan Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo Camargo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Barra EC's Rômulo Camargo got control of the ball when Lukas Moberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Barra EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Vander to maneuver through the defense. Rômulo Camargo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lukas Moberg in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the FC Snipers defense, Pedro Luiz Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olov Groth. The FC Snipers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olov Groth should have stopped the shot. After 33 minutes, André Luís de Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barra EC and the FC Snipers players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Snipers booed when Barra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, FC Snipers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Ryberg to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, FC Snipers's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Souto came free, but Olov Groth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Pedro Luiz Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, FC Snipers's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luiz Souto came free, but Olov Groth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Johansson in the 44th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Rômulo Camargo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luiz Souto was the one to do the kick off. Olov Groth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Vander in the 51st minute of the match. After 57 played minutes FC Snipers got a freekick which was hit by Inge Gustafsson. After 58 played minutes Barra EC got a freekick which was hit by Dito Vander. When FC Snipers's Tim Hård in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barra EC's goalie prevented a goal. When Dito Vander fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barra EC's protests and gave Dito Vander a yellow card for diving instead. Rômulo Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Johansson in the 63rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Hård in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rômulo Camargo saved Barra EC from getting behind. Manuel Loyola hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes, FC Snipers's Douglas Wiman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rômulo Camargo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Snipers reached it. 71 minutes into the match, FC Snipers's goalkeeper Olov Groth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Luís de Amaral. FC Snipers's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pedro Luiz Souto 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Pedro Luiz Souto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Olov Groth made a huge save. The Barra EC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Barra EC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
