With a little luck, Coviolo's Concetto Canzano got control of the ball when Pierre Van Leemputte tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute, Ernst Jansens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierre Van Leemputte's late challenge caught a Coviolo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre Van Leemputte helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Portus Ganda getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Pierre Van Leemputte hit a great ball. Jeroen Himschoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Matteucci in the 12th minute of play. Marc Van Kestbeek kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Enzo Rosato took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jeroen Himschoot. Portus Ganda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jeroen Himschoot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulvio Aversa went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Jeroen Himschoot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Pugliese went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Fulvio Aversa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeroen Himschoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulvio Aversa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Jeroen Himschoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulvio Aversa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute of the match Domenico Olmi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeroen Himschoot showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Alberigo Matteucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Portus Ganda's Jeroen Himschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Pugliese in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberigo Matteucci was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulvio Aversa in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeroen Himschoot saved Portus Ganda from getting behind. Jeroen Himschoot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Matteucci in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Pierre Van Leemputte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute of the match Alvise Campo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeroen Himschoot skillfully saved the ball. Jeroen Himschoot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Matteucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Armando Pugliese managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coviolo's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Pugliese was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeroen Himschoot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Coviolo getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Alvise Campo hit a great ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Coviolo's goalie and right to Ernst Jansens. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Coviolo's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Alberigo Matteucci's late challenge caught a Portus Ganda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberigo Matteucci in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeroen Himschoot saved Portus Ganda from getting behind. In the last second Jeroen Himschoot throw himself and got hold of the ball when Alberigo Matteucci in the 75thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Jeroen Himschoot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Matteucci in the 78th minute of the match. Jeroen Himschoot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Pugliese in the 79th minute. In the 90th match minute, Portus Ganda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaspar Van Hamme to maneuver through the defense. Domenico Olmi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Portus Ganda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Van Bouschot to maneuver through the defense. Portus Ganda's Jeroen Himschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Matteucci in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Coviolo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
