A collision led to Latarnia Matarnia getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Wasyl Chwalkiewicz hit a great ball. Wawrzyniec Banan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Ugla in the 5th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Lucas Gudmundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. VfL Wolfsburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Gudmundsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wawrzyniec Banan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th match minute, VfL Wolfsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Salqvist to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Gudmundsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Banan having to interfere. Evert Wennerquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wasyl Chwalkiewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 27 minutes, Damian Sroka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Latarnia Matarnia and the VfL Wolfsburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Damian Sroka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Björn Ugla notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Latarnia Matarnia's Wawrzyniec Banan. Wawrzyniec Banan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 played minutes Latarnia Matarnia got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Jarmulowicz. The audience was convinced that Wasyl Chwalkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evert Wennerquist was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Matthias Termander kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Latarnia Matarnia's Borys Nieruchliwy seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Borys Nieruchliwy the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Latarnia Matarnia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Borys Nieruchliwy had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 46th minute, Borys Nieruchliwy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see VfL Wolfsburg's Matthias Termander in action when he in the 47th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The Latarnia Matarnia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VfL Wolfsburg were winning 0-2.

A collision led to VfL Wolfsburg getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Björn Ugla hit a great ball. Evert Wennerquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boguslaw Jarmulowicz in the 60th minute of the match. Boguslaw Jarmulowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Wennerquist having to interfere. The supporters of Latarnia Matarnia booed when VfL Wolfsburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Termander didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 minutes of play, Latarnia Matarnia's Boguslaw Jarmulowicz made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evert Wennerquist was left in no man's land by his defense there! The VfL Wolfsburg players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
