After a defensive mix-up in Gurdurão's zone, Roman Sandalio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrão Godoi came out of the goal and Roman Sandalio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robinho Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Dogo Argentino's Moises Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 minutes, Ricardo Faron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dogo Argentino and the Gurdurão players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Dogo Argentino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Faron to maneuver through the defense. Pedrão Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Dogo Argentino's goalkeeper Fernan Loren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Brodel. In the 30th minute Moises Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernan Loren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Bertassi in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Paraibano in the 34th minute of play forced Dogo Argentino's goalkeeper Fernan Loren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dogo Argentino's goalkeeper Fernan Loren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roman Sandalio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 38 minutes into the match. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno Bertassi made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basílio Prado in the 52nd minute of play forced Dogo Argentino's goalkeeper Fernan Loren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Dogo Argentino's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Paraibano came free, but Fernan Loren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 minutes of play, Gurdurão's Anísio Paraibano made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernan Loren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernan Loren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernan Loren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Prado in the 70th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Catarinense during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Gurdurão got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Catarinense. Moises Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Pedrão Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dogo Argentino succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Gurdurão had controlled the match.
