The audience was convinced that Marcial Iliana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aloísio Guimarães was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Gomes to make the kick off. The referee showed Esteve Eutropio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoine Griezmann in the 65th minute of play forced El Patriarca ®'s goalkeeper Cipriano Iban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Patriarca ®'s Cipriano Iban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Antunes in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, El Patriarca ®'s Marcial Iliana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aloísio Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 75th minute, Ricardo Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Mannuel, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Anibal Jobo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When Gilmar Gerber came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Red Bull Magnus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilmar Gerber couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute of the game, Falcão Antunes landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 89 minutes, Leopoldo Mannuel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Patriarca ® and the Red Bull Magnus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Patriarca ®'s Leopoldo Mannuel got a free kick in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Gomes in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Iban saved El Patriarca ® from getting behind.
