After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Larry Baba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Larry Baba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvano Abel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silvano Abel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ed Mcwilliam in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Humberto Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Ben Minton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Minton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Larry Baba in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvano Abel saved DeportivoIndependienteMDP from getting behind. Ed Mcwilliam scored 1-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silvano Abel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ben Minton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvano Abel having to interfere. Ed Mcwilliam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Silvano Abel made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Larry Baba made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Larry Baba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Australian Youth Academy's Ed Mcwilliam in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Guido Joanes got a free kick in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in DeportivoIndependienteMDP's zone, Ed Mcwilliam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Abel came out of the goal and Ed Mcwilliam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A nice corner shot did that Bradley Obree got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Silvano Abel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Larry Baba in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvano Abel saved DeportivoIndependienteMDP from getting behind. After 76 minutes, Ed Mcwilliam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Australian Youth Academy and the DeportivoIndependienteMDP players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th match minute, DeportivoIndependienteMDP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Tulio to maneuver through the defense. Ben Minton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Silvano Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Abel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Mcwilliam, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Larry Baba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Silvano Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Baba in the 89th minute of play. If Larry Baba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Larry Baba came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Australian Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Larry Baba couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ben Minton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Minton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvano Abel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Australian Youth Academy fully deserved thier win.
