Gerson Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragan Hadzhistoyanov in the 21st minute of the match. Peycho Bozhanski charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peycho Bozhanski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SRP-Laguna booed when Lauta Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peycho Bozhanski didn't get a good kick on the ball. SRP-Laguna's Gerson Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dragan Hadzhistoyanov in the 25th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Dragan Hadzhistoyanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Lauta Army's goalkeeper Mito Momin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donato Arantes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Arantes got free with Mito Momin in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dragan Hadzhistoyanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dragan Hadzhistoyanov scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerson Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Léo Bertassi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mito Momin came out and tried to block the shot, but Léo Bertassi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Léo Bertassi to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Dragan Hadzhistoyanov took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Gerson Leão to make any attempt to save it. 65 minutes into the match, SRP-Laguna's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislav Angelov came free, but Gerson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mito Momin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato da Silveira in the 71st minute of play forced Lauta Army's goalkeeper Mito Momin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Lauta Army's Stanislav Angelov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. 80 minutes into the game, Stanislav Angelov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Gerson Leão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mito Momin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Gerson Leão successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 87 played minutes Lauta Army got a freekick which was hit by Peycho Bozhanski. Narciso Schmidt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 98th match minute, SRP-Laguna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lauta Army had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
