The supporters of Black Dragons booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codruț Giurcă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Fieschi struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Mădălin Zăraşcu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black Dragons. After 18 minutes, Yannick Ceroli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Dragons and the Raureni Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Yannick Ceroli hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Raureni Academy's Cazimir Traian in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Raureni Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mădălin Zăraşcu should have stopped the shot. Cazimir Traian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Berardi having to make a save. A collision led to Black Dragons getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Flemming Garzoli hit a great ball. After 39 minutes, Tobie Schyder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Black Dragons and the Raureni Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Flemming Garzoli could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Mădălin Zăraşcu however easily saved by the left post.

Flemming Garzoli's late challenge caught a Raureni Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flemming Garzoli helped the player get up and apologised. Black Dragons's Arnaldo Berardi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Vârnav in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Black Dragons's zone, Aurelian Vârnav stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Berardi came out of the goal and Aurelian Vârnav tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Cazimir Traian fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when Black Dragons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lovis Camiscia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Călin Barbosu fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Raureni Academy's protests and gave Călin Barbosu a yellow card for diving instead. Călin Barbosu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Black Dragons's Yannick Ceroli got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristi Iuonaș during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some careless play in the Raureni Academy defense, Lovis Camiscia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mădălin Zăraşcu. The Raureni Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mădălin Zăraşcu should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Traian in the 96th minute of play forced Black Dragons's goalkeeper Arnaldo Berardi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Black Dragons players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
