After taking down the ball on Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's corner Gigel Hogaș fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arne Åkesson quite easily take care of the ball. Iacob Vătăşel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roy Danielsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Sävedalen's Arne Åkesson got control of the ball when Calistrat Baicea tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ferdinand Frumuzache hit a great ball. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Markus Åkesson was slow to take the kick. During this time Sävedalen's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hannes Johansson in the 17th minute of play forced Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goalkeeper Iacob Vătăşel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Sävedalen got a freekick which was hit by Christian Walroth. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rudolf Lange's late challenge caught a Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudolf Lange helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Sävedalen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolf Lange to maneuver through the defense. Arne Åkesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Frumuzache in the 61st minute of the match. After 62 minutes Sävedalen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gigel Hogaș who took care of the corner kick. Gelu Penciulescu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Sävedalen's Arne Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Penciulescu in the 79th minute of play. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Virgil Cumpan sped through Sävedalen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arne Åkesson. Virgil Cumpan kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Sävedalen's goal looked a bit too open when Dacian Cernea came free, but Arne Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Anton Hedbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Gigel Hogaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Åkesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely fully deserved thier win.
