Vila Zumbi's Hermínio Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Cearense in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Silas de Lima came free, but Ramón Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi's goal looked a bit too open when Samuca Cearense came free, but Hermínio Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Branco took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramón Cosme. Ramón Cosme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wellington Donatello during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Wellington Donatello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hílton de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Samuca Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SUPERSTAR - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuca Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramón Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hílton de Brito in the 40th minute of play. Samuca Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vila Zumbi's Vicente Branco got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuca Cearense to make the kick off. Hermínio Silva was a little too slow when Samuca Cearense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-1. Vila Zumbi's Hermínio Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Vila Zumbi from getting a goal against them. In the 70th match minute, SUPERSTAR - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. When Samuca Cearense came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SUPERSTAR - DMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuca Cearense couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Adriano Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Ramón Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas de Lima in the 82nd minute of play. Ramón Cosme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandro Seco's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Edgar Guerra's late challenge caught a Vila Zumbi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Guerra helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Edgar Guerra got a free kick in the 94th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
