The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Finteșteanu got free with Vladimir Neves in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emanuel Finteșteanu didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 24th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Emanuel Finteșteanu ran dejectedly back to his position. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Washington Berger during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes FC UNIREA Alba Iulia got a freekick which was hit by Gavril Niculiță. There was no doubt that FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were the better team. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
