Sertel Tugal took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogelio Clodio. Rogelio Clodio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rüknettin Nasih didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes, Leo Paskal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Martin de Tucuman and the KOCAELİSPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 played minutes San Martin de Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Leo Paskal. In the 12th minute of the match Hakkı Devrim Zümer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogelio Clodio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sertel Tugal might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogelio Clodio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sertel Tugal ran back to his position shaking his head. Rogelio Clodio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sertel Tugal in the 14th minute of the match. Rüknettin Nasih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Clodio having to interfere. Sertel Tugal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogelio Clodio having to make a save. Rogelio Clodio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sertel Tugal, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Jonathan Victoro's late challenge caught a KOCAELİSPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Victoro helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the San Martin de Tucuman defense, Sertel Tugal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogelio Clodio. The San Martin de Tucuman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogelio Clodio should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute Sertel Tugal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Clodio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rüknettin Nasih kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Sertel Tugal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 44 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Sertel Tugal came free, but Rogelio Clodio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Metin Oktay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sertel Tugal to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Sertel Tugal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rogelio Clodio. That made the score 0-3 in the 52 minute of play. KOCAELİSPOR's Kerimhan Yalavaç managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Celedonio Peruxu in the 60 minute of the game. Arif Burak Çimen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Atarrabi in the 62nd minute of play. KOCAELİSPOR's Halis Tuncaral was substituted for Hakkı Devrim Zümer. After a rather tough play, KOCAELİSPOR's Sertel Tugal got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th match minute, San Martin de Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Arotza to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Maximo Arotza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogelio Clodio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sertel Tugal went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. KOCAELİSPOR's Víctor Osimhen was substituted for Sertel Tugal. 75 minutes into the match, Víctor Osimhen notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of San Martin de Tucuman's Rogelio Clodio. Rogelio Clodio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. San Martin de Tucuman's Leo Ramone was substituted for Celedonio Peruxu. A sloppy throw-in by Leo Ramone in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by KOCAELİSPOR's Ersin Kahveci. If Rüknettin Nasih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Rüknettin Nasih recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogelio Clodio. Rüknettin Nasih showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. KOCAELİSPOR's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
