Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arnulfo Hulberto started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Esteban Raebert rounded C.A Gryffindor's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Antônio Rezende was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Esteban Raebert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Esteban Raebert really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. C.A Gryffindor's Antônio Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Loramendi in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Rafa Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 20 minutes, Arnulfo Hulberto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hortensia FCG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Hulberto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Hulberto in the 22nd minute of play forced C.A Gryffindor's goalkeeper Antônio Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hortensia FCG booed when C.A Gryffindor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes C.A Gryffindor got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro de Moraes. Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 35th match minute, C.A Gryffindor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Diniz to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Rezende was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Celedonio Perrando capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Celedonio Perrando really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. After a rather tough play, C.A Gryffindor's Zé Pedro de Moraes got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Esteban Raebert fired a really elegant long shot, but Antônio Rezende threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 44 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's goalkeeper Antônio Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnulfo Hulberto. Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Sebastian Pereira made the kick off in the second half. When Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the C.A Gryffindor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. When Esteban Raebert fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hortensia FCG's protests and gave Esteban Raebert a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hortensia FCG getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Esteban Raebert hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hortensia FCG's Domingos Urdin got a free kick in the 57th minute. The long shot by Alex França in the 57th minute really tested Marcial Mingo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Eulalio Iturri kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcial Mingo. Hortensia FCG's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes Hortensia FCG got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Tercero. Marcial Mingo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Eduardo Gonçalves in the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of C.A Gryffindor booed when Hortensia FCG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Ferran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isidoro Tercero hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Marcial Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Pereira in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Arnulfo Hulberto notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of C.A Gryffindor's Antônio Rezende. Antônio Rezende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, Celso Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Antônio Rezende was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 85th minute, Celedonio Perrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnulfo Hulberto kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute of the match Alex França sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcial Mingo skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Hortensia FCG booed when C.A Gryffindor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortensia FCG's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
