When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Ezequiel Pero put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Patrik Pedersson. In the 23rdth minute of the game Ezequiel Pero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guldsmedshyttan IK's Patrik Pedersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Angelo Sayvion struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Patrik Pedersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. Patrik Pedersson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ezequiel Pero went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Guldsmedshyttan IK's Christer Utter got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ezequiel Pero scored 1-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrik Pedersson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guldsmedshyttan IK's Patrik Pedersson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Pero in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ubaldo Bento hit a great ball. If Karl-Ove Christoffersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, Guldsmedshyttan IK's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Sayvion came free, but Patrik Pedersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Karl-Ove Christoffersson made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Guldsmedshyttan IK booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Bento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Guldsmedshyttan IK defense, Ezequiel Pero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrik Pedersson. The Guldsmedshyttan IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrik Pedersson should have stopped the shot. Christer Utter made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Valentin Norberg immediately put the ball in play. Viggo Wallengren charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viggo Wallengren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patrik Pedersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Pero in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Ezequiel Pero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guldsmedshyttan IK's Patrik Pedersson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ezequiel Pero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 73 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Pero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrik Pedersson. Guldsmedshyttan IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Pero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Racing Club's Damian Quirze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viggo Wallengren in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Angelo Sayvion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guldsmedshyttan IK the free kick.
