The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when FC Politehnica Timisoara's Junior Stover looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 16th minute, Philip Sandwall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philip Sandwall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tiberiu Mischie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Tiberiu Mischie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Sandwall, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Josef Jespersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiberiu Mischie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Sandwall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes FC Politehnica Timisoara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Folke Örtlund who took care of the corner kick. Mansfield Town FC's Folke Örtlund was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tiberiu Mischie in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 34 minutes into the match, Josef Jespersson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiberiu Mischie, 1-1. Philip Sandwall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Mischie having to interfere. Teodor Lucaci charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Lucaci the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teodor Lucaci kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, August Stjernfelt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Josef Jespersson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mansfield Town FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Stover in the 48th minute of play forced Mansfield Town FC's goalkeeper Georg Söderman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Junior Stover to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiberiu Mischie came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mansfield Town FC's Philip Sandwall. But to his dismay, Philip Sandwall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 56th minute of the match, Teodor Lucaci tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Georg Söderman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Philip Sandwall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute of the match, Junior Stover got a very nice opportunity to score, but Georg Söderman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Mansfield Town FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Josef Jespersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiberiu Mischie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Sandwall in the 79th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cosmin Aluchei during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cosmin Aluchei hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Tiberiu Mischie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from August Stjernfelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Josef Jespersson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiberiu Mischie. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josef Jespersson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Tiberiu Mischie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from August Stjernfelt in the 88th minute of the match. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Tiberiu Mischie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Örtlund in the 92nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Folke Örtlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Tiberiu Mischie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mansfield Town FC's Georg Söderman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Mansfield Town FC from getting a goal against them. Tiberiu Mischie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Sandwall in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mansfield Town FC fully deserved thier win.
