In the 4th minute, Sebastian Edur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastian Edur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. La Gallardeta's Jaime Nafarroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Cabral in the 10th minute of play. Natã Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ivo Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivo Amaral was a little too slow when Jeremias Paul got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. Narciso Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 33 minutes into the match, Jeremias Paul dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ivo Amaral, 3-0. Ivo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Ivo Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Real Cruzeiro FC's zone, Marcos Madeo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivo Amaral came out of the goal and Marcos Madeo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luís Guilherme Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonçalo Sarmento to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Madeo in the 51st minute of play forced Real Cruzeiro FC's goalkeeper Ivo Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute Sebastian Edur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Paul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Sebastian Edur had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. La Gallardeta's Gaudencio Eron was substituted for Sebastian Edur. Júnior Salles hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Jeremias Paul managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Gallardeta's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Paul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Luís Guilherme Cabral could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Jaime Nafarroa however easily saved by the left post. Jaime Nafarroa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Sarmento in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Marcos Madeo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo Amaral. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Madeo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. If Carmelo Jeraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Guilherme Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jaime Nafarroa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Madeo in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to La Gallardeta getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Apolo Naelio hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Marcos Madeo notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Real Cruzeiro FC's Ivo Amaral. Ivo Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 92 minutes into the match, Real Cruzeiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Madeo came free, but Ivo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erubiel Chuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ivo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Gallardeta walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
