Spectators: 7608 (Terracing: 5707, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 151) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Albert Purkiss got the match started through his kick off. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Alin Moldoveanu got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 8 minutes, Iain Lambert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ampthill FC and the -BZF- Fc Gheraseni players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jamie Kemp hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ampthill FC defense, Alin Moldoveanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harvey Paget. The Ampthill FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harvey Paget should have stopped the shot. After 15 played minutes -BZF- Fc Gheraseni got a freekick which was hit by Sabin Strugure. The supporters of Ampthill FC booed when -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nae Mihăescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Johnathan Morse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Alin Moldoveanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Paget saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harvey Paget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Verzea in the 25th minute of play. Jeremy Coombe's late challenge caught a -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremy Coombe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ampthill FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jeremy Coombe hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Albert Purkiss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Burca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Jeremy Coombe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ampthill FC's zone, Fabian Verzea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harvey Paget came out of the goal and Fabian Verzea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Albert Purkiss kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Laurențiu Burca. That made the score 1-1 in the 41 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jamie Kemp during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ampthill FC's Jamie Kemp got a free kick in the 46th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Panait Dănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's supporters rose to their feet, but Panait Dănescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harvey Paget breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Verzea to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Alin Moldoveanu got a free kick in the 56th minute. Gelu Săvescu kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Harvey Paget showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damian Arapașu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jamie Kemp in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laurențiu Burca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albert Purkiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Laurențiu Burca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th match minute, Ampthill FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Purkiss to maneuver through the defense. Harvey Paget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Verzea in the 82nd minute of play. Fabian Verzea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harvey Paget having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Dănescu in the 91st minute of play forced Ampthill FC's goalkeeper Harvey Paget to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ampthill FC's Harvey Paget got control of the ball when Panait Dănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
