Moïse Ganivet hit a great ball. The supporters of Les diables noirs booed when Lokomotiv Bornova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coşkun Usman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Les diables noirs's Gustave Pierrel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kahraman Kunter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eymeric Laguerre kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lokomotiv Bornova's goalkeeper Kahraman Kunter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st match minute, Les diables noirs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Roque to maneuver through the defense. Artaç Dalmaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevan Grange having to interfere. Kevan Grange stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artaç Dalmaz's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Kahraman Kunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustave Pierrel in the 44th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilfried Lépinay to strike the kick off in the second half.
