Paz Torices made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Ritchie in the 4th minute. A collision led to SAN MARTIN F.C. getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Mauro Ordono hit a great ball. Sanson Bayon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Maximiliano Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Paz Torices threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abelardo Roland, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Maximiliano Astudillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchazadec Sorondo in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Canor in the 27th minute of play forced Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goalkeeper Paz Torices to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28thth minute of the game Xuban Benedid who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Maximiliano Astudillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paz Torices made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Ritchie in the 36th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Manuel Cordera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paz Torices. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Cordera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 42nd minute, Bordat Roman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardino Ospin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of SAN MARTIN F.C. booed when Glorioso Deportivo Cali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bordat Roman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sanson Bayon made a kick off. Jorge López's late challenge caught a SAN MARTIN F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge López helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SAN MARTIN F.C. booed when Glorioso Deportivo Cali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge López didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Bernardino Ospin tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Canor in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paz Torices saved Glorioso Deportivo Cali from getting behind. Jorge López hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Vinicio Ciencabrero put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Glorioso Deportivo Cali:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SAN MARTIN F.C.:s goal. The referee gave SAN MARTIN F.C. a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernardino Ospin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Paz Torices. 3-0. Paz Torices made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Firmo in the 68th minute of play. Paz Torices showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Cordera, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Sanson Bayon hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Paz Torices made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Roland in the 77th minute of play. Melchazadec Sorondo's late challenge caught a SAN MARTIN F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melchazadec Sorondo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Glorioso Deportivo Cali getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Melchazadec Sorondo hit a great ball. After 79 played minutes, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Bernardino Ospin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paz Torices came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SAN MARTIN F.C. reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Rigoberto Firmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Firmo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paz Torices breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Manuel Cordera came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the SAN MARTIN F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Cordera couldn't finish the play. 98 minutes into the match, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Cordera came free, but Paz Torices reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SAN MARTIN F.C. had played much better football throughout.
