Ernesto Guimarães hit a great ball. Evandro Ortiz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charles Arantes went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. WAU team's Carlos Eduardo Alagoano got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. WAU team had won after a very even match.
