The audience was convinced that Cătălin Hosu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Ostadar was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Romulo Lizar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Otto Hindrichs. The crowd rose to their feet as Eduard Petrulean kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martin Ostadar. That made the score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Gheorghe Istodor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute of the game Vali Bolborici made a throw-in which Gheorghe Istodor played forward. In the 46th match minute, Les Tigres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Lizar to maneuver through the defense. Alin Babarada was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduard Petrulean to make the kick off. The supporters of Bayern Cavnic ⚽ MM ⚽ booed when Les Tigres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Higinio Laurin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
