Dimitri Huijbreghts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emilio Jaraba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jo Rosbach in the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Esquirla FC's Basiel Van de Weijer got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute Ekhi Teresa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitri Huijbreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Israel Casta hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The Esquirla FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitri Huijbreghts should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by U Alcaravaneras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ruben Hally was slow to take the kick. During this time Esquirla FC's players had a chance to rest. The crowd rose to their feet as Juanito Aizpurua kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dimitri Huijbreghts. That made the score 0-3 in the 68 minute of play. Jo Rosbach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Jaraba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amado Portillo got free with Dimitri Huijbreghts in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimitri Huijbreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amado Portillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Nicanor Duran charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts got control of the ball when Amado Portillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Esquirla FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U Alcaravaneras's performance. The match ended with a win for U Alcaravaneras.
