Spectators: 7596 (Terracing: 5698, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 151) NUMBA's Candido Unax started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jacinto de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Piarres in the 4th minute of the match. Jacinto de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Unax, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Jacinto de Azevedo came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by NUMBA's Candido Unax. But to his dismay, Candido Unax quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When NUMBA's Candido Unax in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Milanis E.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Milanis E.C. getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Zé Carlos da Cunha hit a great ball. Donato Gaztea hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Pombal in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Perrando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacinto de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Unax, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donato Gaztea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jacinto de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Candido Unax sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Perrando made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Zé Carlos da Cunha sent off a good shot on target. When Hélder Britto fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milanis E.C.'s protests and gave Hélder Britto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of NUMBA booed when Milanis E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes, Apolo Piarres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NUMBA and the Milanis E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, NUMBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Piarres to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Milanis E.C. defense, Candido Unax kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto de Azevedo. The Milanis E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto de Azevedo should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Milanis E.C. getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ronaldão Mazza hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Candido Unax got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute Candido Unax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Mazza in the 51st minute of play forced NUMBA's goalkeeper Juan Perrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Pombal in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Perrando saved NUMBA from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Zé Carlos da Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Perrando was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. NUMBA's Juan Perrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos da Cunha in the 58th minute of play. Juan Perrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Jacinto de Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Candido Unax went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute of the match, Candido Unax got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jacinto de Azevedo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fabiano de Sousa hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Candido Unax ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacinto de Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Milanis E.C.'s zone, Donato Gaztea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto de Azevedo came out of the goal and Donato Gaztea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Milanis E.C.! Elivélton da Silva hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When Ronaldão Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Milanis E.C.'s protests and gave Ronaldão Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes Milanis E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Mazza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Unax in the 83rd minute of play forced Milanis E.C.'s goalkeeper Jacinto de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Candido Unax sped through Milanis E.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacinto de Azevedo. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Candido Unax took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Jacinto de Azevedo to make any attempt to save it.
