The supporters of Fire Devils booed when CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Luar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Loris Hellmüller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Teodoro Luzea in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Leander Uliassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Orhan Sabeddin having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goalkeeper Ahmet Orhan Sabeddin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leander Uliassi. In the 22nd minute, Cillian Zellweger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 23 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Bleyer. A collision led to Fire Devils getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Salvator Kälin hit a great ball. Constantino Bertol, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ahmet Orhan Sabeddin came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Fire Devils's Denis Lambrozzi. But to his dismay, Denis Lambrozzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Toto Caputo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Luzea in the 37th minute of play. Toto Caputo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Illan in the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Bleyer got free with Ahmet Orhan Sabeddin in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Leander Uliassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fire Devils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leander Uliassi made a kick off. Ahmet Orhan Sabeddin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loris Hellmüller's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Isaac Aires charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaac Aires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Isaac Aires hit a great ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fire Devils's goalkeeper Toto Caputo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61 minutes, Francisco Bleyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fire Devils and the CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Bleyer. After a rather tough play, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Leonel Luar got a free kick in the 65th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Fire Devils's Perez Gier tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Denis Lambrozzi fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fire Devils's protests and gave Denis Lambrozzi a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Denis Lambrozzi got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute of the match Constantino Bertol shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toto Caputo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Fire Devils's Leander Uliassi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ahmet Orhan Sabeddin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Ahmet Orhan Sabeddin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leander Uliassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Constantino Bertol hit a great ball. Denis Lambrozzi got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 95th match minute, Fire Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Lambrozzi to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Fire Devils were the better team. Fire Devils's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
